Description

Ceramic figure representing an elderly woman with her hair pulled back, exposed bust, and crossed legs. She possibly depicts the Old Moon Goddess, patron of medicine, childbirth, procreation, and women.

She holds removable elements in both hands: a plant in her right hand and a small unidentified animal with a prehensile tail in her left.

The figure wears a decorated necklace attached to her round ear ornaments, as well as wrist and ankle bracelets, and what appears to be a textile headdress decorated with two serpents. Lip ornaments and a skirt complete her attire. This figure was likely used in a domestic or agricultural context, suggested by the presence of plants.
