| Description | Teotihuacan style incense burner with decorated lid and bowl-shaped base. The cover has the bust of a character (probably a warrior) dressed in a feather headdress, earflares, nose ornament, and necklace. In both hands he holds flower-shaped elements with fringes and is surrounded by elements known as “3-mountain glyphs.” In front is the image of a two-headed snake. The decoration was achieved with appliqué and modeling techniques, as well as painting in red, yellow, blue and white. *Pacific Coast of Guatemala, Tiquisate and La Gomera area, Escuintla | |||||
