- Description
Polychrome bowl decorated in red and black on a cream background. Above and below the rim are two lines, black and red respectively, followed by a horizontal decorative band with four pseudoglyphs painted in dark red.
A black perimeter band, framed by two horizontal red lines, separates the upper and lower halves of the bowl’s surface. The lower section is decorated with eight alternating vertical red bands, emphasizing the shape of the vessel. The piece reflects the polychrome aesthetic characteristic of Maya workshops from the Classic period.
